Sweet treat a sweet dream for teens, young adults

FAIRFIELD — Tanya Ortega, an 18-year-old Armijo High School senior, hopes for a career in law or marketing and sales.

She knows she will have to get scholarships and work to pay for her college education. However, she didn’t have work experience.

Now, she can cross that off her list: Ortega is one of the staff members who will help launch the Yippie Yogurt shop in the next few weeks.

“This means a lot to me,” Ortega said as she helped serve yogurt to guests at the West Texas Street shop recently. “This will really help.”
