Fox Network’s ‘The Passion’
On Palm Sunday, Fox TV Network presented The Passion, a two hour musical that aired live from New Orleans, Louisiana and was screened throughout the United States. Hosted and narrated by Tyler Perry, the setting was modern day, and followed the story of Jesus, from the Last Supper to the Resurrection. The Passion also featured a procession of hundreds carrying a 20 foot illuminated cross. Members from the local Salvation Army participated in the procession, some carrying the cross through the city. The Salvation Army also provided hospitality with its mobile kitchens before the broadcast.
