Since Myanmar’s rainy season began in early June, close to one million people have been affected by the widespread flooding. Considered some of the worst flooding in decades, nearly 100 people have died and 1.2 million acres of rice fields have been destroyed.
The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Omaha, Nebraka held the third annual BaconFest fundraising event attracting over 1,200 people.
