The Leaven, Ford Lincoln Team up To help At-risk Children With Transportation

FAIRFIELD— At-risk children in Fairfield will get to see and do more in their community and beyond because of The Leaven and Ford Lincoln Fairfield.
A recent donation of a van from the dealership to The Leaven is helping children see brighter futures with field trips and educational excursions.

“Ford Lincoln’s donation will allow us to expand their dreams and see their worlds through fresh eyes,” said Mark Lillis, executive director of The Leaven. “Since their generous donation in June, we’ve already developed big plans. Through our No Excuses program, our new Leaven van will allow us to help kids tour various colleges and universities. We are confident that it will inspire each one to pursue a higher education.”

The partnership was an easy commitment for the dealership to make.

“The Leaven is taking care of our future here in Solano County,” said Ford Lincoln’s general manager, Dustin Marazzito. “When we help kids stay in school, we all benefit. It results in a better-educated workforce and stronger neighborhoods.”

The debut drive of The Leaven 10-seat van involved a trip to Jelly Belly.
